| Local activities are close and varied: just a block away is the ocean and a boat launch. Drive, ride or walk 1 km down the road to the Village of Sechelt with its many restaraunts from fine dining to casual, take in a movie or live theatre event at the Raven's Cry, or wander the eclectic variety of shops in Sechelt. On the weekends look for local craft fairs and flea markets - it's a Sunshine Coast pastime! For the more active there are two golf courses within 5km, diving charters, kayak and canoe rentals and mountain bike rentals all within easy distance.
Close to Away at the Bay, local attractions include a gourmet coffee at Pier 17 and a wander through the Art Gallery upstairs, hunting for treasures next door at the Mosaic Market with its many vendors all under one roof, a tea room, sushi oceanside or Sechelt's very own beachfront fish & chips hangout. Walk the newly built seawall, take a stroll out onto the government wharf, or swim at the fabulous Davis Bay Beach. 1/2 km away is the renowned Dahlia Farms, and just down the road is a gorgeous hike up to the beautiful Chapman Creek Falls.
